My baby got me this 45 for my birthday. It’s a haunting rendition of “Death of an Angel” performed by The Kingsmen in 1964 and based on the originally recording by Donald Woods and The Vel-Aires from 1955.
The Kingsmen were most known for their single, “Louie, Louie” which has been cover by everyone under the sun, including Joy Division.
